Engr. Emeasoba Azuka FNISafetyE, FNSE Engr. Emeasoba Azuka, FNISafetyE, FNSE, the Principal Technical Partner of Chazemsons Ventures Limited (HSE human capital development and general engineering consultants) was born in Yola, Adamawa State. He has both polytechnic and University education in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree in Power System Engineering; International Diploma in Safety Management (IDipSM) from British Safety Council (BSC), London; Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Engr. Emeasoba did the mandatory one-year National Youth Service (NYSC) programme with Honeywell Group, Ibadan in Oyo State in the 1985/86 service year. He joined Kandu Engineering Associates, Enugu as a Project Engineer till 1990 when he joined United Geophysical (Nig.) Ltd. (an oil servicing/seismic data acquisition company) as a Seismic Observer/Safety Officer working at Maiduguri, Warri, Brass, Brutu, Yenogoa, Nembe and Portharcourt field offices. He thereafter joined Emenite Limited, Enugu and worked as the Senior Manager (SM), Environment, Health & Safety for eighteen (18) years till 2013 when he retired and went into private safety consultancy services. This he combines with lecturing Engineering courses at Caritas University and ESUT Business School, all in Enugu. Engr. Emeasoba is also a Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON)–registered/Accredited National System Management Quality Lead Auditor and SON-licensed System Management (QMS, EMS, OHSAS) Auditor. Engr. Emeasoba belongs to many professional bodies that include: Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (NISafetyE) The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON), International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), London, Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers [IEEE], USA, Nigerian Institution of Electrical/Electronic Engineers (NIEEE), Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers (NIEV) and Nigerian Institute of Management Chartered (NIM). Engr. Azuka Emeasoba is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (NISafetyE). He was a past Chairman of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Enugu Branch; National Vice-Chairman & Deputy National Chairman, Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (NISafetyE) and elected NSE Statutory Auditor. He has served Engineering profession in various capacities. In NSE, he was in Membership Board; Investment & Properties Committee; Engineering Codes and Standards Committee; Statutory Audit Committee; Engineering Regulation & Monitoring (ERM) Committee; Admissions Committee; NSE-FRSC Joint Committee on Child Safety; Continuing Education & training Committee; National Audit Committee; Enugu zonal ERM and Facilitator on various Engineering topics at Branch and National Mandatory Continuing Professional Education (MCPE) refresher and Continuing Professional Education for Executive Engineers (CoPEEE) courses for intending corporate members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. In Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), he has served as a member of the Engineering Regulation & Monitoring (ERM), Enugu Zone and on COREN Post Graduate Programmes Accreditation Team to The Nigerian Defense Academy, Kaduna. Engr. In the religious circle, he is a knight of the Order of St. Christopher (KSC) of the Anglican Communion and has served God in various church committees and boards. His hobbies include watching and analyzing football games on national radio stations, playing scrabble game, table tennis game, swimming, reading Christian spiritual books and listening to spiritual/worship songs. Engr. Azuka is happily married to Dr. (Mrs.) Nneka Emeasoba and is comfortably blessed with two grown up children – Chinedum and Adaeze.
